Trekking in Gera’s gulf 
The gulf of Geras is characterized for it’s innumerable natural beauties. Dense, rich vegetation, plus the wild fauna succeed fountains and small rivers, hot springs and traditional churches, give place to rock-build bridges and chappels hidden by the hills of Gera’s gulf waiting for the adventurous traveler to discover them.
The gulf’s variable landscape provides trekkers with a multiple choice of paths to follow depending on their level of experience and physical condition. The paths are divided in 3 categories depending on the level of difficulty. There are easy-flat, with duration of 1-2 hours, medium with a duration of 2-3 hours, and difficult (featuring sharp terrain pitch and duration of 3-7 hours)

The starting line of most easy level paths is found right behind the Aeolis luxury apartments & studios providing the tenants with the option of beginning their course without the use of any means of transport. There, they can follow many rural streets and paths to reach the villages Skopelo, Papado, Mesagro, Plakado, and Palaiokipo.Once the excursionists reach in the gulf’s villages, they have the option of following one of the various signaled trekking paths and depending on their level to reach the village of Agiassos or even Plomari.

As regards the experienced trekker the gulf’s landscape offers some difficult paths that will challenge even the most skilled. In the gulf of Gera, is located the taller mountain of Lesvos, the Olympus, that constitutes of an inexhaustible source of difficult trekking paths. The majestic landscape that the excursionists will meet is guaranteed to give them a unique sense of completion and internal peacefulness.
During the excursion one can meet many wild birds that inhabitate the gulf such as widgeons, woodcocks, herons, falcons, eagles, nightingales as well as small animals.
Each excursionist must have the following equipment:
